
Carl Rogers was born in 1902 in Illinois.

Known as one of the founders of humanistic psychology, Rogers approach is integrated into modern therapy in many ways. Most notably is the invention of Motivational Interviewing(MI),which uses the core priniciples for the therapeutic interview laid out in the 1951 work by Rogers entitled Client-Centered Therapy.
